Bureau Clear Creek State Forest
CLARION, PA
Clear Creek State Forest provides ample opportunities for outdoor recreation, fishing, hunting and primitive camping. The forest has plenty of recreational trails available. Trails within the forest are open to mountain biking and to horseback riding unless posted closed. Primitive campers spending no more than one night on the State Forest do not need a camping permit. The Beartown Rocks vista that overlooks the Allegheny Plateau is a popular stop as well as the Heath Township Sportsman Fish Hatchery on Callen Run. Contact the district office for more information about trails, maps and camping permit information.
