Colton Point State Park
WELLSBORO, PA
On the west rim of the Pine Creek Gorge, the 368-acre park resonates with the rustic charm of the Civilian Conservation Corps era of the 1930s. The rugged overlooks offer great views of the canyon. Call or go online for camping reservations. Picnic tables are available for year-round use. Four miles of trails are available for hiking. The trails traverse very rugged terrain, passing close to many steep cliffs and may have slippery surfaces. Stay on designated trail surfaces and wear appropriate footwear. Trails include: Rim Trail, Turkey Path and Pine Creek Trail. About 100 acres are open to hunting and trapping. Common game species are deer, turkey, rabbit, pheasant and squirrel. Hunting is also available in adjacent Tioga State Forest.
